👨🎓👩🎓 Please look at examples of the Unreal Conditional:
👉 Если бы я был миллиардером, я бы купил остров (If I were a billionaire, I would buy an island)
👉 Если бы я знал, я бы пришел (If I had known, I would have come)
👉 Если бы он был более ответственный, его бы давно повысили (If he had been more diligent, he would have been promoted long time ago)

💡To express the Unreal Conditional in Russian use this formula:
📌 [ЕСЛИ БЫ + PAST], [БЫ + PAST]
Where:
✅ ЕСЛИ БЫ = IF-phrase (‼️ not just “ЕСЛИ”, which is used for the Real Conditional)
✅ Particle “БЫ” is used twice – in BOTH CLAUSES
🔺 Если бы у меня было время, я бы позвонил / я позвонил бы (in the second clause the Particle БЫ can stand either before or right after the verb)
✅ PAST TENSE is used for the Verbs in BOTH CLAUSES no matter what tense you are talking about – Present, Past or Future.
